Untitled File: The Royal Wedding

Ok, so let's talk about the wedding, shall we? Catherine's dress was stunningly simple, elegant and timeless, she really looked beautiful.

In my opinion there were two ladies who looked incredibly fashionable and elegant: Miriam Gonzalez Durantez (wife of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg) and  Sophie Winkleman, Lady Frederik of Windsor. In my opinion, the most elegant and beautiful hats:

Now, moving on, first let me be clear that when it comes to fashion, I don't tend to criticize people's fashion choices, I believe we all have the choice to dress as we like (just do it accordingly to the event you're attending).

In my opinion, Victoria Beckham looked like she was attending a funeral, I didn't like her dress and hat at all. Chelsy Davy (Prince Harry's girlfriend) looked so sloppy, she made her Alberta Ferretti outfit look awful, and it seemed like it didn't fit her properly. Lastly. although Princess Beatrice of York made an excellent choice with her Valentino Couture outfit (clean and elegant), her hat was terribly odd.

Lastly, one of my favorite moments of the wedding, totally unexpected for me, but so cool!

1 x 3 Ways File: The Flower Pin

Earlier this week I shared some pictures of a couple of fashion bloggers wearing flower pins so naturally I felt eager to share with you some different ways to wear them. I know, I'm so predictable when it comes to my 1x3 ways posts!

I love how they can easily transform your outfit, whether you wear them on your clothes, on your shoes or as hair clips. For me, they are the perfect spring accessory.

Cool Things File: Lemon Press

I have always liked this kind of squeezer but this lemon press is really cool huh? At least it would have been handy for Matthew's Birthday (I hand squeezed around 20 limes!)

Obsession File: The Doctor

Ok, I know these are not the most fashion forward sandals out there, but to be honest with you, I'm obsessed with these Dr. Scholl's. I'm loving the modern twist on their sandals. Back in my teen days I used to wear my mom's Dr. Scholl's at home (yeap these ugly ones), I can't explain why, I just did, and after seeing what they have done to make them current I'm just counting my days for our R&R so I can get a pair (or two?).

Interiors File: Gallery Walls

From Fiona Douglas of Bluebellgray via Design Sponge

I'm really loving the look of gallery walls and how they make you peak into people's lives. Either if you choose to hang pictures, collectibles and/or art,  I think it's a great option to fill out an empty wall and give some character to it, don't you think?

Design File: Great small place

Can you believe this apartment is only 41.5 square meters? Yeap, tiny, but so well decorated! I love how fresh, clean and peaceful it looks. No doubt they did a good job on taking advantage of every single meter.

PS: Thanks to everyone for voting for me, I ended up in the top 10! I really appreciate your support! :)

My life file: Highlights from Noumea

I forgot to tell you about our trip to Noumea, and most importantly THE best findings ever!
While at the grocery shop down in Noumea I decided to take a peak at the magazines section (here in Kone the best you can score is a french magazine from 2009 or so, and I'm a big magazine junkie) So, even though I knew that finding a decent fashion magazine was going to be like a dream, I decided to peak. And thank God I did! Not only did I find a Harper's Bazaar, I found a Harper's Bazaar in English and current!! So it made sense to pay $14 for my magazine fix right? right?

And a big Woo-hoo for Real 100% Maple Syrup, imported from Canada! Naturally I stocked up on a few bottles ;)

Obsessing file: Cosmetic Pouches

Stephanie Johnson Java Blue Medium Zip Cosmetic, 5. Stephanie Johnson Los Cabos Medium Zip Cosmetic, 7. Anthropologie Pondicherry Cosmetics Bag, 8. Anthropologie Pondicherry Cosmetics Bag, 9. Tory Burch Brigitte Print Cosmetic Case, 10. Anya Hindmarch Lips and Eyes Cosmetic Case

Because I like to be organized I have a huge obsession with pouches and cosmetics cases. And because we move a lot I like to store my hair accessories, iPods, manicure set, pedicure set, cosmetics, and all those sort of things into small pouches. It's easier for me to have it all "classified" in little pouches, so whenever I have to unpack I just store my pouches in drawers and immediately know everything is organized in one place. I would say it just makes my life a little bit easier knowing where everything is, and knowing that everything is ready to go whenever I have to pack.

Right now I have a couple of cases that could be replaced and any of these ones (ok, all of them!) would make me very happy. If I had to pick one, I would pick them all ;)

Great finds file: the Ballerina

I'm loving these rubber ballerinas from J.Crew. Aren't they fantastic? A great alternative for rainy days, don't you think? And without compromising style ;) I also have my eye on these and these (the last one would be perfect for gardening) from Hunter. Have a nice weekend! We are heading down to Noumea to get some shopping done :)
PS: If you haven't voted for my look yet, would you? Pretty please?

Babies and Kids file: Zara

How cute are these clothes from Zara? I had no idea that their kids collection was so adorable and cool. It just never crossed my mind to step into Zara to look for clothes for Matthew, what was I thinking? (clearly I wasn't).
I'm definitely checking the store out on our next trip (5 months and counting!).
All pieces are from Zara and can be purchased here.
