If by any chance you're hunting for the perfect pair of Paper Bag Trousers I would recommend you get these ones. I was happily surprised when Chassity posted about them because they have been on my radar lately and some girl reaffirmation is always good ;) The reason why I didn't use them for this post is because I couldn't get a "solo" picture of them.  Also, I styled another version of number one with black oxfords and different accessories but thought that the orangy pop of accessories was more colorful than my original black and white option.

On another note, I just reorganized my tabs into "files" to make it more easier for you to search and look through the different categories ;)

Have you checked Anthro's new wedding shop BHLDN? If not you must to! The website just went up on the web yesterday the 14th, pretty romantic huh? If you want to see more just click here.

Design File: Svenskt Tenn

I'm badly and deeply in love with the modern patterns and color combos from Svenskt Tenn, the Swedish interior design shop from Stockholm. It was so hard to choose just a couple of items....I felt like renaming this blog and posting one product each day! I would love to have white walls and furniture and add tons of their colorful items, wouldn't it look lovely?  These guys really know what they are doing. To fall in love with more products visit their store here.

Cool things file: Transparent TV

The toaster was amazingly cool, and this TV just blows my mind. Can you believe this clear flat screen blends in your home when not in use? Designer Michael Friebe submitted this design to the 2011 IF Concept Design. So so cool :)

In Jenny's file: Classified trash

So simple yet so clever. The Trash Classification Bin makes your recycling easier by separating your organic and inorganic waste.

Design File: Serpentine

How cool is this chair? For me it was love at first sight. And the best part of it it's how that comfy  back seat is made, isn't it interestingly cool? It's called Serpentine, and was designed by french designer Eleonore Nalet. I can see this in a nursery, pantry, porch, just about everywhere ;)

3 ways: Black and Camel

Right before living Toronto I was loving black and camel combos (still loving them but it's so hot here in New Cal that I wouldn't dare to wear black.) The easiest way to get this look is to start with a black canvas (black top and bottom) and just add camel accessories.

My life file: Second pit stop

Despite the long hours on the air (13 hours to be precise) we made it to Auckland in complete sanity. Just wanted to share with you some nature pics from Auckland, our second pit stop.  I'm already in New Caledonia but since I didn't have internet for a couple of days, my Amazing Race posts are kind of delayed, sorry.

Design File: Stripes

My love for stripes goes way beyond clothes. I'm so in love with this settee, and that feather cushion, and the lamp....ok just everything.

And talk about bright color! This striped wall is so dramatic!

For me, this pic is enough to just fall in love with the whole place. Love everything about this space below.

Tips file: Airport

Calypso St. Bart Library Cardigan, Forever 21 Folded Brim Wool Fedora, Marc by Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon Tate Tote, Madewell Aberdeen Oxford, Hayden Harnett Michio Nylon Large Carryall

For the past 3 years I've been very lucky and fortunate to travel quite a bit, so I just wanted to share with you some tips on packing your hand luggage.

- Airports can get very cold so I always wear an extra layer. Pieces that tie at the front are way more practical than pullovers, so cardigans or blazers are a good choice.
- Hats are really not that necessary for shorts flights but when you're in a flight that is 14 hours long your hair can get a little messy and a hat can do the trick to keep you looking good, besides hats always make you look chic ;)
- I like to get a couple of my favorite magazines to read on the plane so as soon as I know that I'm traveling I keep unread the latest issues so that I have something new to read. I also like to carry a good book.
- Shoes: Since you have to take your shoes off at security check points I like to wear comfortable shoes that are easy to take off and on, and since I don't like being bare feet on the carpet I try to avoid wearing sandals.
- I use a large pouch to keep handy everything I need during the flight. This way I don't have to keep with me my large handbag and I don't have to stand up to get things during the flight.
- I always carry some sort of snacks like roasted almonds, granola bars, crackers. You have no idea how many times they have saved my life.
- To avoid dry skin and dehydration don't forget to drink plenty of fluids before, during and after the flight. Not alcohol ladies, water water water!
- Pack your cosmetics in a Ziploc and as soon as you land just transfer them over to your make-up bag and make sure to carry lip balm and a moisturizer (I like to carry samples instead of the whole jar or tube)
- And last but not least always remember to carry a pen and don't forget to wear your watch (different time zones = time adjusting)

My life file: First pit stop

I'm so happy that we decided to stop over in San Francisco for two nights at my cousin's (who is one of the greatest hosts ever btw). The city is beyond gorgeous,  I loved the architecture and it's Spanish influence, the mix of old and modern gives the city so much character, and the very steep hills in every direction is so amazingly interesting. I also loved how green the city is and the relaxed vibe you can feel as soon as you step out the door. I really hope we go back again, we had so much fun.
