Room Wall Decoration

Cute Kids Room Wall Decoration Blue ColorAwesome Kids Room Wall Decoration : Traditionally, nursery wall decor ideas are based upon certain themes. Usually, these themes are different for baby boys and baby girls. While for the girls, fairies, starry nights, etc., are more suitable, for the boys, sports, wild animals, cowboys, etc., are the more preferred ones.

Cute Kids Room Wall Decoration Brown ColorPainting the nursery walls is the easiest way to add freshness to the nursery walls. You can select one single color for all the walls or else you are free to use more number of colors on the walls. Different colors on different walls can give a vibrant look to the room. Special effects on the walls can be made with paints by creating stripes or blocks combining two colors.

Baby nursery room decorations 2With the incredible variety of nursery decoration choices available, it can be hard to make a final decision on your baby nursery decor. The most effective way to "shorten the list" of baby nursery decoration options is to consider your own style preferences and personal interests. Think about the things which were fun and memorable for you while you where growing up, or maybe look to the styles of today for something new and inspiring. However, before making any decisions, always remember that your baby nursery decor has to be enjoyable and functional for the baby and the parents too.

Baby nursery room decorations 3The goal with any baby nursery decor is to create a special place for you and your baby since you will be spending the most time here and much of the bonding will occur in the baby's room. So the nursery decoration style you select should have an inviting and pleasant feel to it. To assist you with making your baby nursery decoration choices, here are five points to stimulate your ongoing creativity.

1. Start with the crib. Since this is the focal point in the room, select your crib design first and then the style of the room will be defined for you. Whether you select a modern, classic, Victorian, or whimsical crib style, the design will establish the rest of your baby nursery decor. A changing table, dresser and other furniture pieces should be selected to match the style.

2. Add color. The color scheme of the room should reflect the style of your furniture. But to stimulate your baby's eyes and brain, incorporate bold colors and patterns into your nursery decoration. Utilize the primary colors, as well as shades of them for a complementing and contrasting color scheme. Add a colorful design to the ceiling as well for an interesting look.

3. Include some character. Adding colorful characters bring a baby nursery decor to life. You can either use a stencil to paint in themed or storybook characters, affix a decal or mural to the wall, or hang a poster or wall hanging. Some popular characters are from nursery rhymes, books, or television shows. Among them are classics like Raggedy Ann and Andy, Noah's Ark and Mother Goose.

4. Accessorize. Accessories are where you can really emphasize your baby nursery decoration look. For easy care, choose accessories that are washable, unbreakable and baby proof. There are numerous unique designs for nursery decoration pieces like photo frames, decorative baskets, shelving and toy boxes.

5. Incorporate the essentials. You will find that your baby nursery decoration items will change as your baby progresses from infancy to early school age. During the newborn stages, the room should include essential furnishings for the parents, such as a glider, ottoman, or rocking chair, which are ideal comfort items for feeding and rocking. As the baby grows older, you can remove these furnishings and replace them with age appropriate essentials.

Baby nursery room decorations 4As you set up your nursery, you're establishing an area for attentive nurturing and growth. The special touches you add foster an environment where your baby will encounter new and magical things that excite the senses and create a happy and secure child.

My Life File: Ile des pins

We spent last weekend at the most beautiful place I've been so far. I have so many pictures to share with you, so I hope you don't mind looking at some gorgeous crystal blues waters and white powder sands for the next couple of days!

We drove to the capital (3 hours) and then we took a 30 min flight to this spectacular island called Ile des Pins, or Isle of Pines in English. There are only a few hotels in this island and we chose to stay at Le Meridien and we couldn't be happier with our decision, it was just mind blowing! Look around and you will see ;)

Blog Series: In my Makeup Bag

This week I have Kirby from The Short and the Sweet of it sharing her favorite makeup products! I've been following her blog for some time now and I admire how she and Alexa run their blog so seamlessly. Go check it out!

What's your current makeup bag? Are you craving any in particular?
My current makeup bag is Kate Spade but it's a few years old - I currently have my eyes on this Leopard Large Flat Pouch, which matches my work tote. Kate Spade makes the best makeup bags in my book - chic and easy to clean.

Do you have a makeup tip or secret you would like to share?
My makeup tip is red lipstick! I work long hours, and bright lips gives the impression that I tried that day even if I had four hours of sleep.

Any particular makeup trend that you're looking forward for winter?
I don't follow many makeup trends - classic is best in my book - but I do love seasonal nail colors. Essie's School of Hard Rocks, Bobbing for Baubles and Damsel in a Dress are three of my picks for fall/winter.

How does your day makeup routine differs from your night time one?
During the week, I never have enough time to re-do my makeup in time for after-work drinks or dinner, so I swipe on some lipstick and bronzer and am ready for anything!

Get Kirby's favorite products:
> Clinque Superbalanced Foundation
> Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer
> Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Nectar
> Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer
> Chanel Levres Scintillantes Lipgloss in Myriade
> NARS Eyeliner Pencil in Black Moon
> Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
> Kate Spade Leopard Large Flat Pouch

* Thank you so much Kirby, it was so lovely to work with you!
