Fashion File: Winter Essentials - Scarves

Sometimes I feel that scarves are the only thing you can constantly switch up to change an outfit during the winter. I mean, after you get your good winter jacket and your good pair of boots, what's out there to make you look different each day: scarves! And you can have lots of them!

Fashion File: Winter Essentials - Jackets

Nothing like a good winter jacket to keep you warm during the winter. I like parka jackets, preferably down-filled, somewhat waterproof, and not bulky. Though I have to admit that that first J.Crew jacket looks pretty nice, liking the cinched waist. Back in Toronto I have that top TNA one in brown and even though is pretty warm I'm kind of leaning towards black for next winter (as this one will be spent in tank tops and flip flops!).

Fashion File: Versace for H&M

The Versace collection for H&M has pretty good stuff (and some stuff that I don't like, to be honest, I'm just not that into the Miami Vice kind of stuff), like these gorgeous dresses that would make the perfect outfit for your Holiday parties, don't you think? And the prices? From $149 to $200, there is even a gorgeous dress for $80! That's what I call a steal. So, what are you waiting for? Oh!, and I'm drooling over that top! Winter in Toronto is not only long but cold (read COLD), so when it comes to winter gear I say you splurge and get quality products. The investment is worth it as you will be sporting these pieces for months and months to come. Plus, there is nothing more uncomfortable than being "under" dressed. Fashion File: NYFW Favorites, Part III

This is my last round of favorites from NYFW.
Even though I love the flowiness of some really great collections like Carolina Herrera's, the pleating at Prada and the bright colors at Nanette Lepore, I can't say enough how much I love Burberry Prorsum's collection, from the very top (those hats!) to the very bottom (the shoes!) to me, every single outfit is perfect!

Since "winter" started here in New Cal I've been wearing these flats from GAP almost every single day. They are really comfortable, easy to slip on and off, and they just go with everything (and they were only $30!).
